The London Eye is one of London's newest landmarks specially-built to open the 21st century, although it was not open for the New Millennium celebrations as planned. You have a spectacular view from the wheel all over London. The London Eye does not allow pushchairs/buggies/strollers/prams. They do provide storage facilities for your pushchair and offer free use of a baby carrier.

The V & A Museum of Childhood has an interesting collection features toys - including dolls, dolls' houses, puppets and teddy bears - games, childcare, clothing, furniture and art and photography. In addition, the Museum runs a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions and displays, a wide variety of activities, events and workshops for adults and families. The café Benugo serves nice meals.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is becomming an institution during the month of December. Discover a Santa land, a Christmas market, various rides and attractions including a Giant Observational Wheel and two circuses from the family-friendly Zippos Circus. It is also here, you will find an ice skating rink, the biggest outdoor rink in the UK. The entrance is free but some activities are ticketed and totally worth the money, your kids will love it!

Cycling In The Royal Parks>>

Cycling is allowed on ALL roads and some specially designated cycle routes within the Park. The only exception is Primrose Hill. Many of the routes link in with the wider London Cycle Network. You can rent family bikes as well.

Buck Hill Playground, Kensington Gardens>>

Buck Hill, or the Lancaster Gate Playground, is located inside the park, across from the Lancaster Gate Station, and a five minute walk from Paddington Station. This is a basic, fenced in playground with baby and regular swings, a climbing frame, slides, and some balancing apparatus. A Playcafé has menus for the playground's younger visitors.

The Museum of London Docklands has a lot for children. This is an informative and interactive play area for the under 12s, with a soft play section for under 5s. Everything is themed around life in the London docks so the big kids can weigh cargo or load a tea clipper while the small kids get to crawl around with large foam bananas and a London bus, plus they can pretend to drive a DLR train.
