The Beautiful garden at The Faculty of Life Sciences is charming and peaceful. Here you will find nice flower beds, a fragrant spice garden and a small lake. If you visit the garden during the summer, you should take a rest at the café Væksthuset in the middle of the garden.

Ørstedsparken is situated in the heart of Copenhagen and is a nice alternative to the busy streets. Here you can play at the two playgrounds, you may spread your picnic or simply just sit down and relax and watch the beautiful lake situated in the middle of the park.

The King’s Garden>>

Øster Voldgade, 1350 København

The garden is Copengagen’s oldest and most visited park. The parc has open areas where you can play, have a picnic or just relax in the shadow of one of the large trees. In the parc you will find toilets, changing facilities, a playground, a fountain and a couple of cafés/restaurants.
In the parc you will also find the Marionetteatret (Puppet theater), Kronprinsessegade 21, www.marionetteatret.dk, Tel: 35 42 64 72. During June, July & August, kids can enjoy a show (plays daily, except monday, a 14.00 and 15.00)

Trafiklegepladsen in Fælledparken>>

If you need a fun, yet educational break, Trafiklegepladsen is a good place to start. Here kids can learn how to behave in traffic without getting hurt. The playground has a traffic lane with signs, driving lanes, signals, road markings and cycle lanes just like in real traffic, only without fast moving people and cars all around you.

Legepladsen i Frederiksberg Have>>

The Playground at Frederiksberg has recently got an immense makeover, and is now one of the city's loveliest places to bring the kids. The activities are made out of materials such as cold steel, granite and wood and consist, among other things, of a water-spraying butterfly, gilded metal shapes and hammocks where you may take a quick holiday nap.

The Nature Centre in Vestamager>>

Sometimes both children and adults just need to tumble about in a space where you aren’t afraid of messing up a well-arranged flower bed and The Nature Centre in Vestamager is just such a place. It is an immense area of meadows and woods with camp fire places, watering holes, where you may try catching tadpoles, playing areas designed in the shape of a ship and a forest of strangely shaped trees.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located in northern Zealand with a panoramic view across the Øresund. Louisiana is a beautiful spot and is definately worth the visit out of Copenhagen. In extension of the Museum you will find the beautiful garden and a nice small beach. Louisiana offers a range of activities for children and adults to explore together in The Children’s Wing.

Harbour Bath Islands Brygge>>

Right in the city center, you can go swimming in the harbour bath at Islands Brygge. There is a paddle pool for children and a bigger pool for older children and adults. It's open everyday when the weather is good from June 1st til 31st of August. Close by, you have a nice café with toilets, changing facilities and food.

Aquarium - Den Blå Planet>>

Northern Europe's biggest aquarium just opened in Copenhagen in an impressive architecture. The aquarium is the home of more than 20.000 fish and ocean animals from all over the world coming from warm and cold, fresh- and saltwater.
