The unique and famous Gaudi park that overlooks Barcelona is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was originally conceived as a city garden for Barcelona's affluent people away from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. Kids will be fascinated by the forms and colors of the architecture and the splended view all over the city and you will find several playground in the park.
The Forum Park is a big area in Diagonal Mar neighbourhood used for many different events and festivals. Here you will find a playground area with swings, slides as well as creative play for children.
The Parc Diagonal Mar has an interesting modernist architecture and divided into six main areas: the fountains, a “magic mountain” for children, a sports area, an amphitheater, a playground and a dog run.
Barcelona's opera house organizes children's events: The Petit Liceo for ages 3-14 with classical music, fairy tales, actors and puppets. Visit the El Liceo website for details and schedule. Tickets can be hard to get, reserve well in advance. The Opera House has a shop and a café as well for little refreshment.
The aquarium in Barcelona is very impressive with many of the tanks extend all the way to the floor, making it very stroller friendly. There's a great kids play area that's geared towards younger kids (1-4 year) next to the cafeteria. A perfect activity for bad weather days.
Situated right behind the colorful and interesting Boqueria market, you will find a cute little squaire with a nice playground. Table tennis, slide, swings and amny other things. You have plenty of cafés around the squaire, we recommend Carmelitas since they have a high chair or the next door café: Dos Trece with very good and tasty menus.
The centre located at the entrance of the park, gives kids over 8 years old, a guided visits of Parc Güell organised daily at the Centre d'Interpretacio. The tour includes maps and games that help reveal the motives behind Gaudi's dream park. You can off cause visit the park on your own and have several playgrounds in the park.
Very nice playground with a small slide, rocking animals and two baby swings. Nice and safe for kids to run around with plenty of shades during the warm hours.
