Meet Silvia our Insider from Milan
We are happy to introduce you to our new insider, the beautiful Italian Silvia. She lives in Milan with her family: Husband Fabio, their baby boy Luca and dog Kiki (a long hair chiihuahua of years old).
Silvia is a busy mumpreneur with her own pet accessories company (www.forpetsonly.it) and a passionate traveller. Ever since Silvia and Fabio have become parents, they try to go travelling as often they can, always finding the best match between their own and Luca's needs. Silvia will help us develop the Luvaville.com guide to Milan highlighting all the best places for discovering the city with kids in style! To start with get inspired by her favorite places:
1. What do you like best about living in Milan with children?
Milan is a very active, fashionable and trendy town something new is always going since I have Luca I look at new places to go and spend time with him and I always find new ones!

2. What is it like a typical day in Milan with your child/children/family?
Well I am a hard working mother but I can't stay without my baby so long ! I am also very lucky because my baby can come with me to my office so every morning we start our day with at least 30 min of cuddles in the bed before getting for the office. If the weather is good, we would walk, it only takes about 15 mins to walk to my office. At the office, Luca has a nanny who takes care of him (while I am working). We have organised a little play area for him. Having him at the office means that I'm able to eat together with him and my staff ( we are only girls in the company!) In the afternoon, generally Luca takes his nap and when he wakes up we go home wait for daddy, have dinner play and enjoy our night together. It's a very simple life but full of joy and lots of kisses and hugs!
During weekends, we spend more time the 3 of us and we love to go around, eat at restaurants and spend time with good friends!
3. What is your favourite area in the city and why?
I am downtown girl, I really love to take long walk in the fashion areas and it is a good occasion to discover new places and to do some shopping (generally Luca is the one who gets more bags at the end of the day!) On the opposite, I love nature and green areas so as soon as there is a sunny day we love to spend some time in a cosy park not too far from home.
4. Where do you like to go for lunch or dinner?
There many restaurants that I love and of course they are very friendly with children but none of them has a children menu.
Acanto (inside the Principe di Savoia Hotel) is one of my favorites. The hotel is also very baby friendly even if it's a luxurious hotel. They have a very cute garden where you can have lunch or dinner when the weather is good and kind can spread their little legs.
Piazza della Repubblica 17, 20124 Milan www.hotelprincipedisavoia.com/ristorante-acanto
I Valtellina is a very traditional and classic reaturant with a very cosy and romantic ambiance. The family owned restaurant servs delicious homemade food. You will also find a fantastic wild garden perfect for the children to plau hide and seek!. Via Taverna, 34, Milan, www.ivaltellina.it/

For Luca i love of course Bonpoint and for more classic and cute clothes " la stupenderia" www.lastupenderia.com.
Again classic and chic "baby motta" www.babymotta.it/chisiamo.jsp

7. The best play ground in the city?
I'm not so skilled in playground yet because Luca is only 17 months so we have bot had the possibility to explore that many places yet but I can tell you that our favorite park in town is Guastalla Park wich is a small but beautiful park with a lot of babies and a payground for small babies too.

8. If you have a little diaper incident or need a toilet where do you go?
I would go to a Chicco Shop if possible they have very nice and clean nursery area and feeding room, Chicco is also a baby equipment store, here you will find anything you need, baby bottles, basic bodies, pacifiers etc.
VIA DANTE, 6 20121 MILANO and VIA SORESINA, 2 CORSO VERCELLI 20144 MILANO, www.chicco.com
9. Your child's/childrens' favourite cultural activity?
Luca is still very young but he is very attracted to music and loves to dance at his own way of course ! His favorite dance now is the topolino dance.
10. Your own favourite cultural activity?
As I told you before I love dogs so in my little spare time I try to help a group of people that take care of abandoned dogs
