A romantic get-away to Paris
Being a mum to a nearly one-year old and a 2 1/2 year old and having your own company at the same time can at times be pretty tough. So I guess a little break from the kids and the company seemed to be something that both my boyfriend and I longed for...So inviting me on a romantic trip to Paris without the kids was certainly one of the best presents my boyfriend had given me in a long time. Three whole days and nights with the one you love in Paris - in the springtime...do I need to say more?
Holding hands in Paris
My boyfriend and I had both been to Paris before, but this was actually the first time together. It was nice to discover the city together and just taking it nice and easy without getting stressed by diaper accidents and crying babies.
Walking hand in hand alongside the Seine, drinking coffee at many of the nice and cozy cafeés with an authentic French atmosphere, seeing the amazing buildings and grabbing a falaffel at the cozy jewish quarter Marais is something I could easily get used to. I simply love Paris!
Paris by bicycle
Sunday the weather allowed us to rent two bicycles and what a cool, cool way to discover the city. I'm so glad that we did it as we got to see so many things that we wouldn't have had the time for should we have walked or taken the metro. And I can't remember the last time my boyfriend and I rode on bicycles together without kids - it feels like ages ago. Buy a 1-day ticket for only 1,70 Euros.

Buddha Bar
Saturday night we celebrated our six years anniversiary with a very nice and romantic dinner at the famous Buddha Bar, only a block away from our hotel. During the years I've heard a lot about Buddha Bar, but never had the chance to go there myself. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time and we're certainly going to go there again next time we go to Paris. The food was more than excellent, the service Ievel very high and the atmosphere very authentic and cozy.
So if you're planning a trip to Paris in the near future - without kids - treat yourself and your loved one with a fantastic dinner at Buddha Bar. And don't forget to buy one of the Buddha Bar albums, if you want to bring home some nice lounge music and at the same time a long lasting souvenir from your date in Paris! PS. Remember to make a reservation in good time!
